Biography
Negative Nancy was born the daughter
of a bastard and a whore in the spring of 1998. She was born in a
small town in Indiana, humbly named, Rolling Prarie ( not to be confused
with Rolling Rock ) The idea of Nancy was to make a group that was
different from all other "stereotypical bar bands, and radio plays and
to come up with a new, totally creative musical experience. From
within the barn of Ma and Pa Milner, Negative Nancy was taking shape, taking
her first crucial breaths, and learning valuable lessons for the life to
come.
Nancy's first foster family
included, Jarrod Milner, Brian Palm, Aaron Clark, and Uncle Justin.
These four souls cared and nutured for Nancy, feeding to her every desire,
helping her to grow. As in all families, people come and go, relatives
move away, die or become incarecerated. So, with Jarrod being shorthanded,
he quickly realized that this girl was too much for the three men to handle.
He called on the sources of one Chad "Spastic" Martensen, an old classmate
and fellow musican, to help in this endeavor that would ultimately become
Negative Nancy. Together they taught her things most parents would
dread. After some time it was time for her to exit the womb
and take her rightful place on the stage. Nancy's day care playmates
included White Trash All Stars, Judge "Das Macht", Spray Pain, Dark Army,
The Ninjas and Plunge Plenary. After Nancy had a taste of stagelife,
she knew she was hooked. Nancy ignored her parents request to come
home when the streetlights came on and , in doing so, was seen on the stages
of such local establishemts as Cheers, Lower Level, Buck's Blues Bar, Studes,
The Zoo, Columbia Street West, Legends, Black Cats, Plinko Manor, Maceos,
The Intersection and various outdoor events (Chain Of Lakes shows and Milner's
Halloween Expo ). Nancy was also introduced to the darker side of
the stage by performing at various home invasion parties.
Nancy has grown since then,
and with Michiana's most sought after bassist (Jim Snyder) and newcomer
ShaneShank Redemption, has been supplying the Midwest with original
music styles, and unusual and entertaining high power stage performances.
After releasing a demo and numerous independant live recordings, Nancy
is quickly rising to be one of Northern Indiana's premier musical artists.
